Plums and new book

I have made a lot of sketches during last weeks, but have no time to scan or photograph them. Above is small still-life with plums.

Now I am trying to improve my paintings with some books. I am reading Lois Griffel's 'Painting Impressionists Landscape'. It describes Hawthorne's color theory and I really like it. Will try to paint something this way.

Yesterday I have taken some photos from car. Now I am trying to make something interesting from this materials.
Here is small color study. I think, that trees are to brown; have to make them more olive. Will try to make new color study today evening.

After some dramatic changes in my job I have decided to try something new and fresh.

When I have bought Jie Xiangyuan's great book he asked me where he can see my works? And then I have decided to try painting by myself. Here are some of my soft pastel paintings, that I have made during last month. Almost all of them are 30cm x 30cm (12 inch x 12 inch). Photos do not show correct colors :( .

I am painting places near my house (erasing some unwanted elements) or some landscapes, that I have photographed. I am still devloping my skills and hope to make my works better in the future.
